Bathroom Remodel

May 1, 2011 by The Perfectly Imperfect One

I won’t bore you with all the details, but this week we remodeled our bathroom.

Over eight days, we removed wallpaper, tore out the sink and toilet and baseboards, patched holes, scrubbed walls, primed and painted walls, painted ceiling, tiled the floor, installed new sink and toilet, calked tub, new baseboards and chair rail. We replaced electrical switches and the light fixture. If you weren’t able to come out to our house warming party on Saturday, here are some before and after pictures of our bathroom.

Holy crap – you’re the reno queen! I’ve been trying to hang a picture for 2 weeks…

I wanted to let you know that I’ve undergone a bit of a transformation and the transfer to a self-hosted server means I’ve lost all of my subscribers. The good news is, it’s very easy to re-subscribe: simply go to and you’ll see the subscription box on the right-hand side. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience and thanks so much for your understanding.

It wasn’t too difficult, just a lot of time involved, and of course money and a lovely fiancĂ©e to do the heavy lifting and hanging of the stuff 🙂

But, thank you! We think it turned out nice 🙂 Determination is the key, and I only had a week off work.
