We are homeowners! Yes, we signed all the paperwork and closed on our house Tuesday morning. It was really exciting and we are so happy. It was a lot of signing our names over and over, and our signatures looked like hell by the end of it all, but that’s ok, we own our own home now, and it is so totally worth it.
I just received a call from the sellers, the guy told me they are sitting in the backyard right now and he is trying to get her not to cry. She has been in the home since it was built in 1985 and she watched her kids grow up there. He told me he was telling her that the home is going to great people (that’s us!) and that we are so happy to have it and to make new memories in it. He told me that as soon as they get settled into their new home they are going to have us over for a house warming and they hope we will do the same, of course we will. Also, he said we are getting a wonderful home and that we can call them anytime for any reason 🙂 Isn’t that amazing!? Such a wonderful couple, we are lucky to have found this home and so lucky the sellers are so wonderful and so happy for us. We are glad we got the chance to meet them and speak with them personally about the house the day we found it 🙂
The house is so beautiful. It has some minor cosmetic fixes, but we got a great home and we look forward to making our memories together there. Now that the closing is all done, we get our keys tomorrow and we will start moving Friday 🙂 One major stress has been lifted, and this weekend another major stress will be lifted (moving :P). Then it’s just about unpacking and getting settled and starting our life in our new home. I know I keep saying that but we are so excited, and I just cannot believe we are homeowners! Those little mailers that come to the mailbox that say “to homeowner” that’s US!! It’s pretty amazing!
This entire experience has been so great, stressful, but fun and great. I want to thank my mom for setting us up with Regina, even though we found the house by just driving by, having a Realtor has been so wonderful throughout the whole process.
We would like to thank Regina (our Realtor), Heidi at Security National Mortgage, and Michelle Olson from Surety Title, for helping us through this process and being so wonderful and helpful throughout it and afterwards (because we may need you, lol). You are some amazing ladies! We will be telling all our friends about you all and sending them your way 🙂
And, congratulations go out to Regina who, throughout this process, has been planning her own wedding for next week in Jamaica! How amazing is that?! She works nights with my mom at the post office, has children, is a Realtor and is getting married, she’s gotta be some kind of super woman!
